17th November 2020 Windsurfing: Rhosneigr Wind Direction: SSW Wind Stength: F6 Surf / Sea State: Smooth waves Air Temperature: 14.5 Sea Temperature: 11,6 Weather: Overcast Max Speed: Distance Covered: A high tide so not much beach until about 1pm when about 8 folks were rigging mostly 4/4.2m so rigged 4.2m and had one nice run into smooth waves but wind was easing so upped to 4.7m though lighter folks were fine on 4.2m Waves were smooth with some peaks near mast high so best avoided by me. Got some rides in but a bit gusty catching me out, and I timed waves badly so only caught a few and caught in surf a couple of times. Towards end turned infront of wave too steep to get over but wind shadow and not planing away so mullered in surf and rig separated for a drift ashore and long walk back. I wanted to end on a high so ride out, good gybe on large outside swell and OK turn on wave in - lovely. About 20 windsurfers out and 10 kiters. |
